Vaccination Policy for CBI

Effective January 29, 2022
Proof of Vaccination Required to Enter Synagogue Adapted by CBI Board of Trustees

Proof of full vaccination will be required by all eligible congregants, worshipers, employees, contractors, vendors, and guests five years and older when entering the building.

Throughout the pandemic, our first priority has been the health and safety of the entire congregation. Given the continued circulation of the Delta variant and the rise and recent dominance of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, we want to continue to ensure that we gather safely and responsibly. After consulting with our Health Protocols Committee, the Board of Trustees has approved a vaccination policy governing entry to the CBI campus. The full resolution can be found HERE.

Congregants may provide proof of vaccination in advance:

  • Upload a photo of vaccination card by clicking HERE
  • Email a copy of your vaccination card to Paul Gibilisco at ExecutiveDirector@cbi-nj.org.
  • Come to the synagogue office in person.

If you are joining us for Shabbat or Yom Tov, providing proof of vaccination in advance of your visit is optimal and encouraged.  If you would prefer showing proof of vaccination at the door, please bring your actual vaccination card. If you plan to show an image of your card on a device, in order to maintain the sanctity of Shabbat, please ensure your device is set to airplane mode and that the image is already saved and easily accessible on your device.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in implementing these new policies and procedures. The CBI community has successfully navigated the changing parameters of the pandemic to ensure that we can maintain our connections and remain healthy. We are hopeful that these guidelines will continue to achieve this goal.
