Adult Forum offers creative and engaging programming that provides spiritual, intellectual and social connections in a warm, friendly setting. Adult Forum is a community within a community for CBI’s adults at leisure.
Lunch & Learn
Adult Forum generally meets twice a month at CBI on Thursday afternoons for a kosher lunch followed by a movie, speaker or entertainer. Our guest speakers touch on a wide variety of topics of Jewish and cultural interest, such as “Jews in the News,” Bubbe Meisses, The Life and Literature of I.B. Singer, Israeli food and more. Films have ranged from current releases to classic movies. Our entertainers include vocalists and musicians. Rabbi Isenberg, Cantor Wallach and Rabbi Schwarzwald also participate throughout the year, allowing time to connect with our clergy and educators!
On the Road
Adult Forum also takes day trips organized by local groups; past road trips have included the Federal Reserve Bank, Museum of Arts and Design, Philadelphia Flower Show, The Museum of Jewish Heritage, World Trade Center Memorial and West Point.
At the current time, we are gathering on Zoom for the safety and comfort of our members.
Our programs are open to CBI members and the general community. By all means, friends are welcome!
