Teen Learning at CBI
Our CBI Teen program offers a variety of interactive, engaging and compelling programs for students post b’mitzvah in grades 8-12. Each provides continuing connection with the synagogue and with Judaism, while engaging with material at an advanced level. Teens can choose whether they prefer a more academic or social-action oriented program or mix and match!
Tichon meets once a month to explore timely topics of interest to teens. Blending current events with our heritage and tradition, Tichon encourages our post b’mitzvah students to find the connection and relevance of Judaism in contemporary times.
All teens are invited to work as Madrichim Teen Assistants in our Blanche Bayar Religious School. Madrichim partner with our teachers to play key roles in the classroom, whether in person or online, while gaining valuable work experience. Madrichim receive training and are paid for their time. Madrichim help with office tasks and, most importantly, work with students in the classroom.
In addition to the formal programs, 8th through 12th graders are encouraged to participate in our Kadima and USY youth groups as well. Click here for more details!
Join with a friend! CBI Teen programming is open to congregants as well as friends of CBI and BBRS families and the greater Jewish community.
