People ask: What’s going on in the kitchen? Well, it’s just us getting ready for our weekly Shabbat Kiddush lunch. One of the beautiful parts of Shabbat at CBI is our service followed by the comradery of lunching together as a community. We strive to promote a welcoming environment for congregants of all ages as well as for prospective members to chat informally with clergy as well as each other.
We accommodate a variety of dietary concerns. For example, vegetarian and vegan options, a peanut-free environment, and for those with dairy-free, gluten-free, and diabetic issues. We have enhanced the kiddush catering to the K’tanim and Shelanu families with options requested by these families.
This past year we had many sponsors for a variety of simchas. In the coming year we look forward to even more!
There are many ways to sponsor a kiddush. Whether individually or as a group we are available to tailor something special for you. We can also help if you would like to use an outside caterer. I can provide a list for you of our approved caterers and go over the options. There is also a fun and easy way to mark an occasion – with a cake! For a nominal fee we can order a cake to mark a birthday, b’nai mitzvah anniversary, moving up graduations, or any time you’d like to mark an event at kiddush.
As we know, volunteers are the lifeblood at CBI. This goes for volunteering in the kitchen as well. We would love to have your help. That being said, I especially take this opportunity to thank all those serving on the committee as well as those who volunteer. We also thank our dedicated staff for their invaluable assistance.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable summer.
