Rabbi Ari Isenberg: Mazel Tov, Grandparents!

It’s a grandparent explosion here at CBI. Over the past few weeks, and indeed over the last few years, dozens of our CBI members have become first-time grandparents. Ancient Jewish wisdom teaches us that it is only when we experience seeing the children of our children that we discover a most profound sense of shalom – wholeness, completeness, contentment, peace. Mazel Tov to all of our grandparents and here are some resources to help you in partnering with your children in the Jewish rearing of your grandchildren.

This is one of my personal favorites. On the advisory board sits Dr. Nancy Parkes who was our guest at CBI at my installation Shabbat a few years ago.

Here’s a thoughtful reflection from a former congregant of mine, Kay Pomerantz.

And of course, PJ Library has a significant resource bank for grandparents, including monthly books that will arrive directly in the mail to your house.

Enjoy these precious little gifts.
