As we approach Rosh Hashanah and the Yamim Noraim — the New Year and Days of Awe — we wish to once again express our enormous gratitude to all congregants who supported the Torah Cover campaign this year. Our beautiful new “Scenes of Jerusalem” covers now reside in our Aron Kodesh (Holy Ark) and will be visible to everyone during the High Holy Days. We hope each of you enjoy their beauty and elegance as much as we do. Truly, they represent the best of Hiddur Mitzvah (beautifying the Mitzvah) and are a lasting representation of our community’s desire to create a meaningful spiritual home — to each other, Israel and future CBI generations.
Congregants who participated in the Torah Cover campaign at the Hebrew University, Hadassah Hospital, Tower of David, Jaffa Gate, Jewish Quarter, Old City or Kotel level will find their names beautifully embroidered inside the Community Torah.
